When you come home
from the hospital, it is a good idea to have someone there
to help you with your new baby. Birth is a physically and
emotionally draining experience. With a normal delivery,
many doctors recommend that you have assistance for at least
one week; with a cesarean section, you may need help for
about ten days to two weeks. Everyone’s needs
are unique, and we make every effort to meet your specific
schedule.
Baby Nurses
Our baby nurses provide care for your newborn, help you so Mom can recover or get that much needed rest or to just provide answers and information about questions you may have. The bottom line: we offer help and support to make your life easier and your experience more enjoyable. Our baby nurses are certified and licensed by the NC Nursing Board.
Medical Support — Sometimes the need for a baby nurse comes from medical conditions. When mom had a C-section and needs time to recover and rest, our baby nurses can provide help and support so mom can rest and recover knowing baby is getting the absolute best care.
Rest and recovery time — Newborns can be intimidating,
exhausting, and overwhelming at times. It is one of the most popular reason our baby nurses are called. Our baby nurses are not there to get between you and your newborn or try and take over for you. We are there to help you so you can get that much needed sleep. Our baby nurses can help answer questions, offer support and give you time to rest and recover.

Traveling Nanny Nurses
Need to get away? — Our traveling nanny nurses offer long-term 24 hr/day service for families that have a need to travel for business, a long overdue "couple's vacation" or just a family need that takes you out of town.
Our traveling nanny nurses can come to your home and keep your children while you are out of town. We work with you to learn and maintain your schedule. Our traveling nanny nurses can feed and clothe your children, get them ready for school and provide transportation to their activities.
Newborn Home Care offers more than your typical "baby sitter". Our traveling nanny nurses have the experience, knowledge and expertise that can only come from licensed nurses. We will gladly provide references from the many families that have taken advantage of the convenience and support provided by our traveling nanny nurses.

Other specialized services
Postpartum Depression —We provide help and support for moms with postpartm depression as well as offer loving care for your baby. This can be a very difficult time for the mom and dad and other family members and we feel we can provide a lot of assistance in this area. Please contact us for additional details
Nanny / Au Pair Training — We are experienced with Nanny training
and Au Pair traning. We teach basic infant care, how to bathe,
feed, comfort a crying baby, get baby on a good schedule, how
to detect any symptoms of illness and personalized instruction
for each baby on an individualized basis. Please contact us for additional information.
Special Occasion Services— Newborn Home Care also offers "professional
baby-sitting" services for hotel guests who are visiting the
area for such events as:
- weddings
- business appointments
- reunions
- conventions
- sporting events
